Margam Castle Tour
Let us bring Margam Castle to life for you!
Discover the fascinating story of this fine Victorian mansion house and gain an insight into the life and times of those who lived here. Our tours are led by expert volunteer guides and include a visit to the Castle.
The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes. Whilst the tour is adult focused, children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
After the tour you’re free to explore the publicly accessible areas of the Castle and grounds at your leisure – or maybe just relax with coffee and cake in the courtyard café, explore the historic core of the Park, or indulge in some retail therapy in our gift shop.
You must have a ticket for our tours: these are limited in number and available on a first come-first served basis from the kiosk as you come into the Park.
Our expert guides offer you the chance to explore Margam Castle visiting the rooms normally closed to the public.
The Castle rooms, including a tour of the upper floors, are brought vividly to life telling the story of the building through the lives of the Mansel and Talbot familes - who gave their name to Port Talbot
The Gothic features of the Castle have been the setting for many film and tv productions including Dr Who and Da Vinci's Demons.
A regular venue for Ghost and Paranormal investigators we offer an experience for every interest and for the curious visitor to Margam Country Park.
Stained glass window
We regret that we are unable to offer Castle Tours during the Winter season. Tours will re-commence early next year
Whilst there is no charge for our tours, we welcome donations which are used to help us maintain our magnificent heritage and preserve it for future generations.
