The Turbine House, Margam Country Park, Margam, Port Talbot, United Kingdom
|
The Friends were formed in 1996 as a volunteer group and became a registered charity in England and Wales in August 2018.
The main objectives of the charity are to conserve and enhance Margam Park and protect its natural beauty, raise the profile of the park, increase public awareness and work with the local authority.
We are always looking to grow our membership and invite anyone to join us. If you are currently unable to volunteer you can still make a difference by supporting us.
Money raised from membership fees contributes towards the general running costs to enable us to carry out day-to-day activities, display materials, maintenance and improvement of facilities and training for volunteers.
We have an amazing team of volunteers from all backgrounds who work tirelessly to protect and revive Margam Country Park for everyone to enjoy. We, as volunteers, breathe life into the place and we come together because we care about Margam's history, wildlife and people. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and we wouldn’t be able to survive without them.
