Friends of Margam Park began in 1996 as a dedicated volunteer group and became a registered charity in England and Wales in August 2018.
Since then, we have continued to grow as a community of people who care deeply about Margam Park and its future. Our charity’s aims are to conserve and enhance Margam Park, protect its natural beauty, raise the park’s profile, increase public awareness, and work in partnership with the local authority to support this much-loved historic landscape.
We are always keen to welcome new members and invite anyone with an interest in Margam Park to join us. Even if you are not currently able to volunteer, you can still play a valuable role by becoming a member and showing your support.
Membership fees help fund the day-to-day running of the charity, including activities, display materials, maintenance and improvements, and training for our volunteers. Every membership makes a real difference and helps us continue our work for Margam Park.
"We have an amazing team of volunteers from all backgrounds who work tirelessly to protect and revive Margam Country Park for everyone to enjoy. We, as volunteers, breathe life into the place and we come together because we care about Margam's history, wildlife and people. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and we wouldn’t be able to survive without them."
