Tony first started visiting the Park in early Spring 2016 originally to exercise
and lose weight to keep his type 2 diabetes under control.
He quickly fell in love with the park’s stunning, tranquil landscape and its varied wildlife and decided
he and his family would like to give something back and joined the Friends in
May 2016.
After leaving school Tony went to Bridgend College to attend a 2-
year Secretarial course and has worked in the admin/clerical sector all his
working life, currently as a Fleet Administrator for local haulier John Raymond
Transport since 2002.
Tony loves getting involved with group events such as
litter picking, marshalling and helping with craft activities and regards himself
as a good team player.
Tony is passionate about the Friends, its members and
the future of the Park. His wife, Suzanne’s great-great grandmother and great
grandmother were both employed by Emily Charlotte Talbot and worked in
Margam Castle.
